This is a gentle email reminder to our September 2024 Prayer Leaders & Word Readers. I have included the schedule below for your reference. Week 2 (23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time) - CASAO
Theme: We open our hearts to God’s holy presence when we respond with compassion to those who are in need.
Promise: “Here is your God…he comes to save you.” (Is 35:4b)
Order: “Be opened!” (Mk 7:34)
Directions:
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to inflame in our hearts love and compassion to one another.
2. Be attentive to one another by showing kindness and care and extend forgiveness to those who have wronged us.
Week 3 (24th Sunday in Ordinary Time) - MARTIRES
Theme: We open our hearts to God’s holy presence when we follow Jesus in faith and by good work.
Promise: “…whoever loses his life for my sake and that of the gospel will save it.” (Mk 8:35b)
Order: Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me (Mk 8:34)
Directions: Fully put your faith and trust in God…
By strengthening our faith to God in the face of life’s challenges.
By daily imitating Christ.
By daily sacrificing for others especially in time of their needs.
By loving others and willing what’s good for them.
Week 4 (25th Sunday in Ordinary Time) - GARCES
Theme: We open our hearts to God’s holy presence when we serve with humility and pure intention.
Promise: “…whoever receives me, receives the One who sent me.” (Mk 9:37b)
Order: “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” (Mk 9:37)
Directions:
1. Be child-like with our faith in the Lord by fully trusting His Word, always believing His promises and totally depending in Him.
2. Always pray for the grace of humility and service.
